Murali

With a strong theatre background, Murali roamed the Malayalam movie world, portraying a variety of the most versatile characters to his credit. Even though he was introduced to celluloid through Njattadi (a film never finished), he steeled the mind of Keralites with a heart beating performance as a villain in M T Vasudevan Nair scripted “Panchagni. From there onwards he appeared in many roles, say as heroes, supporting roles and as villains. His theatrical but equally well calculated movements and envious modulation of dialogues rank him along with the most gifted actors of Malayalam film industry like P J Antony, Kottarakkara Sreedharan Nair, Nedumudi Venu and Thilakan.
His untimely demise was a great shock and loss to Keralites. Here in this book Prof. Aliyar is trying to bring out a short history of his career and contribution as an actor both to theatre as well as silver screen.
