The new wave of Malayalam cinema that takes a detour from the conventional path to engage its audience has been getting good response from all walks of life. Malayalam cinema always experiment with new ways and means of themes, storytelling, dialogue delivery and visual delight and they all proved successful and ignited debate in the film industry.

A harmonious and advantageous environment has always been provided by the Government of Kerala for film makers thereby promoting the industry and set new paths for film lovers and film makers.

As Malayalam cinema is witnessing a radical change, the government is also on the pace to provide cutting-edge advancements in the Cinema Experience of Malayalis.

With effects, computer animation increasingly becoming a common sight, ‘Government is planning to master advanced technologies in all phases of film making’.

A unique project on the anvil is the ‘Online Malayalam Film archive’. Whether you want to watch classic films from a bygone era, it will be just a click away for the malayalis in the coming years. This archive will contain thousands of Malayalam movies which range from classic full-length films, to art films.

‘Web Based TV Channel’ that gives an opportunity for malayalis all over the world to suck the sweetness of Malayalam classics  which is going to be a unique and one-of-its kind, can be viewed online before IFFK, 2012.

‘Online Film Education and Appreciation’ to generate deeper insights of film as an entertainment form and also appreciate as an art form adds flavour to its wide gamut of malayali film audience.

It is a fact that current filmmaking trends will become the standard operating procedure of tomorrow? These unique initiatives of the government will undoubtedly open new avenues for film makers, critics, and audience to master their craft and helps to continue to keep effects fresh, powerful and memorable.
