The first edition of Chalachitra Sameeksha, the official magazine of the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy, was released in August, 2017. MT Vasudevan Nair released the first copy to noted filmmaker Saeed Mirza to mark the event, and 32 editions have been issued since. The bilingual magazine that was conceived as a part of the Academy’s initiatives to propagate a film culture of superior quality has been well received by academicians and cinephiles alike. The magazine includes both serious discussions on cinema, and interviews and well researched articles on noted film personalities to give closer insights into their lives and works.
